DAY 5. CATHEDRAL ROCK-Imilchil-ANERGUI. KMS 240
All information on the route between the Cathedral and Anergui along the gorges of Assif Melloul were catastrophic, so we had to think about a plan B for the fifth day. To bridge the distance between chest and we got back a very long detour to Tagleft dusty tracks.
This stretch had no charm, was a series of large tracks without much history. The scenery was nothing special either. I put here a picture of Suzuki team for putting something:
Tagleft those in a hurry we decided to refuel. As the station was in ruins, we headed to a hardware store where we sold a yellow fuel, get you to know what kind of gas was. We basically asphalt path, climbing gradually to a high plateau, Tasraft way. The old access road to this village, close and full of holes and muddy, had disappeared, and instead we are a brand new track suitable for all types of vehicles. The track continued to Taghzout, and in part had maimed a nice trail that was jumping over the river banks. Luckily, at one point the track was diverted and were unsuccessful in tracing back on the old path:
As we expected, transit through some narrow steps would entail some discomfort for those who wore panniers, especially in the case of very bulky. Some remembered certain steps close of 2009 where most unfortunate baggage, see photo retrospective:
And indeed, Oscar, who boasted of his brand-new Expedition Wolfman bags, so cute spiders, thanks to the bag size and volume of the 950 general . Well, I just loaded one of the straps, but it did a premonition that there was going to pick. The bad thing is that suitcases trial with the front wheel first passes, then the pilot, and when you think you're free, the saddlebags impact with a stone, a branch or whatever. If they are soft shock is somewhat flexible, but if rigid ...
continue on other trails along the creek,
continue on other trails along the creek,
often interrupting the work of laundresses,
and sometimes biting the dust:
Very entertaining, driving a good time in pools, rivulets, mud and boulders, we reached the gorge where last year I almost lost the bike washed away. What a few months earlier was a fierce river
now was nothing but a mere stream
with water
as hippos splashing,
circulating pleasure where in earlier times could hardly take a step:
Finally, overcome with nostalgia for those sad times there drawing water from carburetor my DRZ, we left the river bed
and went rising over the valley
to resume our route rocky tracks,
desolate
and dusty
n'Tefense Tizi Road,
first roads between onlookers perched on cliffs
and canyons abysmal
where Oscar stared at the empty, wondering if his throwing off the cliff heavy bike, or to Amarok, its main detractor. Who knows

Bravo!
Suerte que abundan los pedruscos.
stony Menudo!
remedy faults After treacherously contrived by the evil Austrian team to slow the progress of the Japan team spirited, resumed the march to enjoy the last hours of daylight.
After shooting through endless long brown hills, we went to a road on which we ascended to a port of about 2500 meters, where we saw the great valley which is located Anergui, accuracy at 1000 meters less height:
The descent was long.
was exactly the start the prolonged decline of the port when we find a German truckers camped next to their old bikes. Struck up a conversation with them and exchange valuable information.
Basically we learned that in Anergui ended everything: fuel or road or find there. We knew the difficulties of the route between Anergui and the Cathedral, but it seemed that the route to the south also was seriously disrupted due to landslides caused by torrential rains. Providentially that day we were fueled in Imilchil, if we came directly to Anergui hoping to find there a refueling point, we would have been wrong.
're at it, go down to town, looking for the gite d'etape,
sea dined well,
, and on we went.
