Barricada is a rock band from Pamplona (Navarra, Spain) formed in 1982 in the neighborhood of the Txantrea. With 18 albums to date and countless concerts behind them is one of the groups with more years in the language.The rock landscape group was originally created by Enrique Villareal "(The Drugs)", vocals and bass, Jose, drums (from Kafarnaún to the immediate incorporation of Mikel Astrain) and Javier Hernandez (El Boni), voice and guitar . Sergio Osés later joined as voice and guitar.
They gave their first concert in April 1982 in the Place de la Txantrea in Pamplona, \u200b\u200bin this debut Drug wore a stunning red coat and black coming out of a coffin.
His first album, Night of Rock and Roll, was recorded in just two days, and released by independent label in 1983 Sonu. Was produced Ramoncín. In the words of the drugs, the disc can be defined as "the fact carajillo disk."
After the release of the album, Sergio had to perform military service, and not slow the progression of the group was replaced by Alfredo Piedrafita. In 1986, for recording the third album (No truce), Barricada signed a contract with the multinational RCA. But the differences between the group and the label made this contract is broken after throwing. The label was intended to censor 8 tracks, thanks to pressure from Rosendo Mercado, also producer of this album could finally see the light
was then joined the Iberia Polygram at the launch of I do not know what to do with you 1987, also produced by Rosendo. Despite the pressure group, condemned the track record Pasajes Bay, which recalls the controversial deaths of four members of the Autonomous Anti-Capitalist Commandos, one of them a friend in the neighborhood of the Drugs.
In 1988 they released their fifth album, Red. To some critics is the most complete album and valued the group, with songs such as Animal hot o Opening and closing hours of the carnival. The album was produced by Dennis Herman.
Enrique Villareal (The Drugs)

In 1990 they released their double live, which includes 23 songs played live. The group received for this work a gold record.
His next two works were a huge sales success, reaching both to achieve platinum status. The first, by instinct, published in 1991, was a far more pure sound of the group, which was criticized by some of his fans ever. However with this album Barricada became a much better known.
Balas published in 1992 white, featuring the song Black Sheep, one of the most famous and significant of the group.
For the next album, the band decided to take new paths and trends in music, resulting in the spider, published in 1994. Sales fall, perhaps due to this change, and is most noticeable in the next album, Insolence, published in 1996. Leave Polygram in 1997, releasing an album called Health & Rock & Roll. This is a live recording that same year in the Plaza de Toros de Pamplona, \u200b\u200band has several collaborations.
in 2000 published a work that returns to its more powerful sound, but evolved, Direct Action. With this record sales increase again, touching the gold record, and Barricade is again placed on top of the English rock scene. This album was released by DRO East West label, responsible for their recent work.

in 2008 goes on sale 25 years of rock and roll, a box of 2 CD + 2 DVD + Book, which collects the best of the group and a few rarities. Soon after, they embark on the tour Another sleepless night, along with Rosendo Beltran and Aurora. The tour kicks off April 4 in the Anoeta Velodrome in San Sebastian, to end on October 25 in the Plaza de San Severino, Balmaseda, Vizcaya.
Basque film director Juanma Bajo Ulloa, has been commissioned to direct some of her music videos. Even participated as extras in the movie of this director, Airbag.
In 2009 his album will be released on Civil War topics such as the thirteen roses and torture to the side of Republicans.
