Bow And Arrow Old Games

Draconian

Draconian is a doom metal band with gothic metal influences from Sweden. Draconian
The onset can be traced to May 1994, when Johan Ericson (drums, vocals), Andy Hindenäs (guitars) and Jesper Stolpe (bass, vocals) joined forces as KERBEROS, a set of Doom Melodic Metal with influences of Black Metal. Seven months later, vocalist and poet Anders Jacobsson joined the band, which then changed its name to what it is today.

During the coming months, Draconian working on new material that found its way to their first demo recorded in Studio Källgren on October 27, 1995, exactly a week after its live debut. With the help of Jessica Eriksson (flute, vocals), Susanne Arvidsson (vocals, keyboard) and Andreas Haag (responsible for the introduction of My Nemesis) Shades of a Lost Moon was created. However, it was not made public until February of 1996, as Magnus "Bergis" Bergström (guitars), old friend of the band joins Draconian. Shades of a Lost Moon received excellent reviews worldwide, prompting interest from several record labels. In late January 1997, Draconian recorded their second demo, In Glorious Victory. Unfortunately, the band quickly grew discontent with the audio quality of the recording and decided not to release it. The months that followed were less productive for Draconian, while waiting for two of its members completed their military service. However, essays and composing new songs were still a part of the agenda. For the new material the band included keyboardist Andreas Karlsson, taking the place of Susanne Arvidsson, who is leaving the band personal reasons.

Draconian In 1998 and 1999 went to the stage. The positive feedback convinced them it was time to return to study. Early in August 1999, entered the studio to record Ruling The Closed Eyes of Paradise, an album that dealt with the mystical dark theme of Lucifer and his fallen angels, the true face of God and the coming battle. In it, Susanne Arvidsson made guest vocal appearances. Unfortunately, the recording, suffering from a bad production, was not up to high expectations. The band thus opted for a little more polish before its official release, as well as during the months of May and June 2000, Andreas Karlsson, Anders Jacobsson and Johan Ericson were dedicated to improving the quality of the demo, new songs were included, as well as effects that had erroneously been left out in the study. The effort paid after launching the demo. Draconian

now concentrated on creating something new. Their sound became slower, darker and more similar to Doom. The material that ensued led them in a new direction. His demo of only two songs, Frozen Features was made available for download on the Internet, as in CD format. Shortly after recording Frozen Features, Andy Hindenäs took a sabbatical. He was replaced by Johan, who left Jerry Torstensson responsibility of the battery. A final demo was recorded in the summer of 2002 featuring the vocal talents of Lisa Johansson for the last time, the ability to Jesper Stolpe on bass, who opted to leave the band to pursue other ventures. Stolpe was replaced by longtime friend and supporter, Thomas Jäger. Dark Oceans We Cry was the work that made known to the band, the demo received outstanding reviews and the band signed a long-awaited Rrecords Napalm. Draconian

recorded their debut album, Where Lovers Mourn in Studio Mega under the supervision of Chris Silver (ex Sundown and Cemetery member) in July 2003 under the direction of Pelle Saether, Draconian entered Studio Underground in Västerås to record Arcane Rain Fell in 2005.

Later that same year Magnus Bergström decided to take a sabbatical due to labor issues. This left a seat empty for Daniel Arvidsson, an old friend of the band and also the brain behind Scorched (Black Metal). The band also needed a bass player since Jesper Stolpe had recently left. During this time it went through another transition, for personal reasons, keyboardist Andreas Karlsson felt he could not risk their mental health to go on longer tours with the band to participate in future concerts. The band then needed a keyboardist and Sanne Carlsson took place to cover the absence of Karlsson.

In early 2006, Draconian finally found his bassist, Fredrik Johansson joined the band. Draconian began working on their third release, but due to countless requests from fans, it was decided to first release an album with remakes of songs from their first demo The Closed Eyes of Paradise. The Burning Halo would also include three new tracks and two covers. Plagued by numerous problems through the stages of production, the album was delayed and finally completed in June.

Produced by Andreas Karlsson and Johan Ericson, and mixed in Anders Ljudbild by Anders Bergström, The Burning Halo is a majestic blend of the two previous releases of Draconian, showing that they are masters of Doom Metal Swedish, becoming one of the greatest exponents of the scene.

Heavy guitars and intense growl with female vocals, melancholic romantic piano arrangements. Draconian immaculately links these elements to create a perfect symbiosis of Gothic Metal and Doom. Former members
